Business Unit Controller EMEA (f/m/d)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

  • Responsibility for the controlling and all for all controlling related topics of a business unit Original Equipment (OE)
  • Leading and coordinating the budgeting and planning process of the OE business unit
  • Analyse segment profitability and trends, provide comments on variances that add value
  • Providing reports to the management (balance sheet, cash flow, analysis, commentary) with regular presentations
  • Responsible to coordinate, work on and contribute to business unit plan (short- and long-term) 
  • Alignment of country and business unit targets with regional objectives 
  • Participation in investment and make-or-buy decisions, financial models and sensitivity analysi
  • Identify and quantify risks and opportunities 
  • Work on special projects for your respective steering unit
  • Support the month end -, quarterly and year end closing process (IFRS / local GAAP) 
  • Ad hoc analysis

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • University degree of economic studies, preferably with majors in controlling/finance or comparable qualification
  • Min. 5 years  of professional experience in an international company, preferably in the Automotive sector
  • High methodological competence in controlling and cost accounting
  • Experience with group structures and matrix organisations
  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Process-oriented and entrepreneurial thinking and acting as well as willingness to take over responsibility
  • Structured and result-oriented work, self-reliance and self-initiative
  • Self-confidence combined with the ability to pursue and resolve conflicts, high level of motivation and flexibility
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, spoken and written
  • Very good know-how of MS Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good know-how of SAP (FI, CO, CO-PA) or similar ERP systems, experience with planning software & BI tools
